Strawberrysoup is an ideas-led full service digital agency which was launched by two university friends in 2005. Since then, the agency has grown and now has three studios and a dedicated team of 15 talented designers, developers and project managers. They moved into their Chichester studio in 2007 and since then, have really made the space their own. We featured their studio in 2010 and they’ve made some pretty neat changes that we thought we’d share.

What started off as a stark and empty space is now a vibrant workspace with an open floor plan. There are plenty of spots to sprawl out with a laptop, have an impromptu meeting, and stretch your legs. They’ve even installed a 5M glass partition featuring a custom illustration showcasing each of their services.

This is my studio in the old church of dalwhinnie, the highest village in the highlands of scotland.

Whether you grew up around the skate and surf lifestyle or not, the Hurley name is likely no stranger to you. Earning its name from founder, Bob Hurley, who created the company in 1999, Hurley has situated its headquarters within Orange County in Costa Mesa, California.

Whether it be the sunny West Coast location of the headquarters, the elaborately creative environment in which the Hurley team operates or all of the above, it’s no wonder the crew continues to churn out relevant product in 2012. Among the expansive space, the Hurley HQ includes an indoor skate park with artwork by Bigfoot, MADSTEEZ and others, Bob Hurley’s board shaping room, a Kitchen by Dalek, and a music studio. In addition, the headquarters features an area aptly branded as the “Shrine” which serves as a space to prototype retail concepts and spur inspiration for the team to brainstorm and build new ideas.

We all either love Microsoft or love to hate them. We know who they are, so not much introduction is needed, but their new workspace is lovely. Light, airy and featuring many special elements including a slide and nature wall.

ARGE KOOP/INNOCAD emerged as winners in the architecture competition for Microsoft’s new headquarters in Vienna, held on the basis of the WPA concept.

Working in close collaboration with the Microsoft project team during the subsequent project realisation phase, the team of architects assumed responsibility for the overall design of the new Microsoft working environment as construction supervisors and project managers.

The architect comments “Our aim is to intertwine and harmonise physical, virtual and social working environments.”

LOOP is a digital agency which gets assigned by global companies and leading brands on all five continents to work for them on remarkable online advertising campaigns. We prefer a minimalist interior design – clean, modern, but functional. Large chalkboard walls for analogue scribbling, a dedicated brainstorming area and a social area with bistro tables and a soft-ice machine ensure that our team has enough creative space to come up with outstanding ideas.

This Portland Oregon location houses two companies, Big-Giant and UNKL. Both companies were founded by Derek Welch and Jason Bacon. They collaborated with DECA Architecture for the interior design of the studio.

Big-Giant is a creative agency of 10 people.  Here we create and develop concepts, spaces, brands and anything in between. Some of our clients include Adio, Nike, Dell, Converse, Disney, Lego, DC, and Lacrosse/Danner Footwear.

UNKL was started back in 2004 as way for Jason and Derek to focus their creative energy on non-client based projects. At UNKL we create character based products from apparel and design vinyl to broadcast entertainment and beyond.

We all know how Google pampers its employees with lavish office environment and all kinds of facilities and these are a set of photos inside the Google building in Zurich, Switzerland from Picasa.

Bathtubs where you can sit and relax while watching an aquarium, a hallway slide, peculiar meeting rooms makes you envious with awe for those who can work in the Google workplace.

Three Rings Design is a game design company that makes persistent world online games.   The company is located in San Francisco just down the street from SFMOMA.

This office is by far the most creative office we’ve ever featured here. Instead of going with normal furniture, Three Rings decided to go with custom pieces that you literally will not find anywhere else. For instance, would Microsoft has a tenta-couch? I think not. Would Facebook have boat-on-the-high-seas themed couches? Nope. Lastly, if I’m not mistaken, it looks like they have a hidden passage behind a bookshelf. I don’t think that Google Zurich can even boast that.

Here are a few images taken from the headquarters of animation company Pixar, in Emeryville, CA. As you can see they have a very large campus, as do many large companies these days, but what I found most interesting was the creativity seen in several of the offices. Working at Pixar sure doesn’t seem like your normal cubicle job.

Earlier this year Wadhwa Developers commissioned James Law Cybertecture to create an office unlike any other in Mumbai, India. Cybertecture Egg, an egg-shaped office building brings together iconic architecture, environmental design, intelligent systems, and new engineering to create a fascinating structure in the city.

The concept of this unique design was inspired by planets and sustainable ecosystems. Elements of the design and intelligence systems will work together to give this office building’s occupants a great place to work.

As the architect behind hugely famous, titanium-clad behemoths such as Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum and LA’s Walt Disney Concert Hall – 81 year old Canadian-American, Frank Gehry and his practice – Gehry Partners, LLP – rarely shy from delivering truly awe-inspiring buildings, that become instant icons.

Unmistakably Gehry, the centre is quite literally a vision of twisted genius, with it’s warped façade carried through into a fantastically distorted interior, this is an icon for Vegas that is truly like no other…..

TBWA is an ad agency with a very cool office in Los Angeles. This innovative office features a huge wide-open floor plan, full-court basketball court, big-screen TV and even has trees growing inside of the building to give it a more ‘outdoorsy’, or fresh, feeling to the office.

Frank Gehry’s architectural practice developed this incredible office space for the Basel headquarters of Swiss furniture company Vitra. The office interiors are designed to allow for changeable workspaces employing Vitra’s furniture, creating a wonderful working environment and a showcase of contemporary designer furnishings

Horizon Media, founded in 1989, is the largest U.S. independent media services company. It is growing fast and needed a new space to accommodate its New York City staff that was scattered within ten blocks in three buildings and on nine floors.

The building was originally a printing factory with an impressive concrete structure, 360-degree views and high ceilings. With such good bones to start from, a+i further amplified the grandeur by cutting a wide staircase through all three floors.

This not only opened the light-filled space up even more, it also met another requirement: it helps the staff see the “hive” at work and connect and interact with each other.

In 1948, David Ogilvy founded the agency that would become Ogilvy & Mather. Starting with no clients and a staff of two, he built his company into one of the eight largest advertising networks in the world. Today it has more than  450 plus offices in 169 cities.

From the very beginning, David Ogilvy intended to have a different kind of company. He knew that if he was going to be successful as an expatriate running an under-capitalized offshoot of an old British firm in the country that invented modern advertising (in the city that was its epicenter), he would need to build a strong agency brand. The first two fundamental components of that brand would be the quality and diversity of the people, and the quality and class of the operation. “Only first class business, and that in a first class way.”

Upperkut, a young communications agency, takes up residence in the basement of a fully operational church, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church, in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood of Montreal, Canada.

The 380-square-meter space was divided into four areas: president’s office, project managers’ area, studio and multi-function room. The result is a colorful, functional space with a slightly scruffy feel that reiterate the vibes of both Upperkut and church-basement life. - Tuija Seipell

he spatial environment of Rafa Armero, studio for Creative Emotional Design, is not only a physical enclosure, but also encompasses an emotional interior space for its own sake. This is the underlying philosophy of our company, a place for open and active collaboration and in constant evolution. In the mornings, the space can appear as a studio for creativity, in the afternoons it can become a laboratory or a gallery for exhibitions, while at other times, a workspace for experimentation and formation in emotional creativity. Additionally, we are always open to all kinds of public, prepared to offer a cup of coffee at any time and are even available for private events.

Located in a turn-of-the 20th century building in the celebrated neighborhood of the Olivereta in Valencia, the 150 square meter area has been altered on two occasions, the first taking place more than 10 years ago when Armero Studio had its beginnings. Taking special care for the structure and spatial distribution, this restoration brought out the most positive aspects of the original construction: arched ceilings of baked clay, iron beams, uncovered brick, etc. The second, a creative project for the interior, was finished just two months ago. Following the new strategic plan and tenets of the firm, emotional creativity, aspects such as the flexibility of the space, the lighting, the common work areas and the style renovation in general, were carefully considered.

The studio reflects all the changes and transformations that the firm has passed through on its way to the heart of the concept of emotional creativity, stimulated by everyone who forms or who has formed a part of the project, and fleeing from the minimalism characteristic of professional design as well as  any other easily- recognizable tendency.

Our office is located in Monterrey, Mexico. We are inside an old swiss-like-brick-wall building, and we re-did the whole place adding OSB, some custom-made furniture (mainly desks), Chadwick & Eames chairs, black and white paint and a lot of objects and magazines.
