The BIO Agency's Description:
Nurturing the big idea
As a digital agency we pride ourselves on nurturing and building ideas until they’re strong enough to survive.
Our vision for a new office was an environment that people could call home, a place that would inspire creativity and somewhere that people looked forward to working in. It also needed to be a place that nurtured ideas: a greenhouse for ideas to blossom.
The result is an eccentric, charming environment, with a quirky Victorian farmer’s market feel. It is full of elements that hint and mirror the nurturing of organic ideas.
The reception area gives the air of an old distressed building, where overgrown plants and even a cheeky squirrel meet you to say hello. The breakfast and bar area is the heart of the agency. It feeds the agency with free breakfast every day and in the evenings serves up amazing cocktails. Positioned in the centre of the agency, it encourages staff to congregate and exchange ideas, not hide away behind their desks.
The meeting rooms turn up the volume on quirkiness. Bright green carpet feels like grass under your feet, a huge glass table sets the stage and balances on top of rustic wooden pallets. Plants hang upside down from the ceiling. Another room is decked out like a cosy Scandinavian log cabin, allowing staff to pin their ideas on display. The best way to sanity check an idea is to leave it out to hang for a few days.
